Matrices in Microsoft Word 2007?

I have the new Windows Vista with Microsoft Word 2007. In Word, in the equation editor, it gives me some templates for matrices, but none of them are big enough. And there isn't a 'make a matrix of you own order' tab, either. Help!

Matrices in Microsoft Word 2007?ie 7

Are you sure about this? I don't have 2007, but I have Word 2003 and it's in there - in fact, I remember this feature being around back in Word 6.0 (I think 2.0 as well, but I'm not sure).

Anyway, in the 2003 equation editor, under the matrix templates it has a grid of options laid out like this:

1x2 2x1 2x2

1x3 3x1 3x3

1xn nx1 mxn

where the ones in the bottom row have dotted lines joining their elements.

If you click on the bottom right one you get a dialog box in which you can specify the number of columns and rows. I created a 23x8 matrix with no trouble.

You could try building a table the right size and adjust the borders. It seems very clunky.

Letter Templates?

Can anyone advise of where I can get some letter templates off the net ( I have looked but have given up) for various styles of letters?

Complaints Compliments etc.

I have a fairly old computer and have no packages of software. Therefore I do not have the Microsoft Office package!

Any help appreciated

I cant download templates cuz my software isnt genuine?

the microsoft word on my computer came installed when i bought it, and it asks me for the product key everytime, it gets really annoying, but i dont know it..is it supposed to come somewhere with the computer?

now i cant download templates cuz i dont have the product key

help?

I cant download templates cuz my software isnt genuine?internet explorer 6

Usually, the Windows operating system sticker is ON the computer. If your computer came with Works, the Word is a part of that package, and the key is on that set of disks. If you got the Office package, the key for that is on those disks.

In many cases today, a Trial version of Office comes with a computer. That really sucks. For my clients, I uninstall that trial crap first. Then we install a real version and make sure that it is properly registered. Always check the activation and registration before using it. There is never enough time to do it right, but no time to get screwed.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

I cant download templates cuz my software isnt genuine?windows live internet explorer

you never bought the Office it come preinstalled but after 60 days it need to have a new key and you never bought it. so my advice is buy the disk.
The product key should be in the paperwork and manuals you received with your computer unless you have a demo version.

If it (the key) wasn't or you can't locate it, you can go into Word, select Help, then About Microsoft Word and some versions will show you the product key used to install it. If so, copy it down for later use. If not, call the manufacturer of your computer.
It's likely that your computer came pre-installed with a TRIAL of Microsoft Office, and it has expired and is asking for a key, which you need to purchase.

I would recommend downloading OpenOffice, (free, http://www.openoffice.org) as it is free and has much of the same functionality of MS Office. Alternatively, you can use free online word processors like Zoho http://www.zoho.com and Google Docs http://www.docs.google.com

How to access form templates in word 2003 with xp system?ies

All templates can be found on the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com). If you want to save some time, you can open up a microsoft blank document, find the search box, and type "microsoft templates." This will take you to their templates and then you can search for which ever template you want. When you find the template you want (make sure it is word 2003 compatible) you can download it for free.

Microsoft Publisher...?

I have never used Microsoft Publisher before, but I have 36 hours to create a small booklet of size half A4...

Any tips or tricks? Or tutorials from websites? Or even better.. Templates for such booklets?

Microsoft Publisher...?uninstall internet explorer

I've just had a 'play' on Microsoft Publisher (Office 2003 version) as I've never used it!. It is very easy. You have options on how you want your booklet to look.

Do you mean you need the booklet to be A5 size? (A4 'portrait' folded in half with spine to left).

Once you have opened Publisher - you need to click on an option on left side of your screen - click on 'Blank Publications' then an array of options will appear on your screen. If the A5 booklet is the one you are after, then you need to click on the "Book Fold" option. However, once you have done this, you need to change the orientation of documnt in File %26gt; Page Setup then click on 'Landscape'. This is the layout of your new 4 page A5 booklet.

BUT you will need to remember where to place the text/info as Page 1 will be front cover, pages 2 %26amp; 3 are usually centre pages and page 4 is the outer cover page. I am not sure how you would go about doing more than a 4 page booklet though - you will probably have to play around on Publisher to see if you need more.

To insert text into the new booklet - you would need to insert a "Text Box" this option is an icon on left side of your screen. You can create as many text boxes as you need eg for a title, subtitles and then information/change font and point size. Remember to change your zoom % to 75% or 100% otherwise it will look tiny on screen.

Printing the document out won't automatically make it into a booklet - it will probably just print pages as you see on screen. ie you will get 2 pages printed out - you will need to re-insert pages in reverse order to print remaining pages

printed but that = 2 booklets if you know what I mean.

I can email you a clinical procedure information booklet if you wish to see how it would look and print it out to see what I mean.

Good luck

Need help with footers on Microsoft Word!?

I am making a template for a person that needs a footer to appear only on the last page. The template will be used to create reports of varying lengths. Each report will need the footer only on the last page, but since each report he will be making will be different in length I cannot set a standard page for the footer to appear on in the master template.

Is there a way to have Microsoft word automatically put a footer only on the last page of a document without knowing and/or typing in the number of the last page? Thanks!

Need help with footers on Microsoft Word!?microsoft

I do not know if there's a built in way of doing this... but you could write a macro that executes on a specified event. This macro would check which is the last page and insert a footer.

You might wanna run this macro at the time when the document is closed... or choose another event of your choice.

Before you try anything else, check your computer for MICROSOFT PUBLISHER.

You don't have to download any new software, and it should already be on your machine. Just go to Start%26gt;search%26gt; and then type in "Publisher."

The program has built-in templates that are easy to start with, and the software makes it really easy to start creating your brochure right away. They even have clipart, WordArt, and borders to make your document look really nice.

Just use cut and paste.
Usually you can just open the document in Microsoft Word. I believe Wordpad saves documents in the Rich Text Format (.rtf) and Microsoft Word should be able to open those document types.
Yes i am with samuel. It is better to use the cut and paste option in edit menu
A template is just a Word document that's used as a starting point for other documents. Each time you open a template with the File-%26gt;New menu option, you make a copy of the template and work with that.

Normal.dot is a template of a blank page, but other simple templates can have letterheads, fax cover sheets or other useful text already in them.

Templates can also have their own sets of character styles for special situations such as page headers or section outlines.

You don't usually edit a template, especially Normal.dot, but if you're adventurous, you can create your own template.

Can you help me with microsoft office labels?

i am using microsoft office to make labels. i found a template i liked and used that with no problems on the first page. however, when i got to the second page the grid lines were no longer there, i tabbed over as usual and the labels continued. Instead of using the down arrow all the time, use the tab key. Most labels are set up in a table format, and once you get to the end of the current table, the tab key will automatically add a new row to the end. When you reach a page break, it will automatically bring the format with it, therefore keeping the same cell size and everything.

There is most likely a template for an invoice in Word, access may have a template which can create an easy invoice system for you, it will be very generic but functional, that should include reports which you can print directly or send to word for more formatting.

I have not used templates in a long time or wizards but I believe you will have an option to get online templates in word if you just go to the file menu and select new. I am not sure in 2007 exactly where that would show up but it is usually to the right of the screen.

In Access the same thing, File New and to the right, or someplace, there should be a wizard you can use to create a database application.

You can also find a template and or wizard in Excel.

Contractors don't get pay stubs since they aren't employees. They should have their own records of what they have earned for all the companies they contract to and all their other customers.

resumes writing tips

Keep your resumes simple. Your resumes must be concise. Your resumes must be easy to read. Your resumes must sell you. And your resumes must be tailored to what the reader is looking for.

These resume and letter principles apply to all career moves. Having a good resume is essential for full-time jobs, part-time, internal, external, promotions, new jobs, career changes, internships and work experience placements - wherever an employer or decision-maker is short-listing or interviewing or selecting applicants.

Short-listed and successful candidates are invariably the people who provide employers with the best resumes and best covering letters.

A resume does not have to be a text document. It can be a video. If a picture tells a thousand words, imagine what moving pictures can convey about you. The technology exists now for anyone to create a video resume, and to upload it onto a website - including this one.

These notes are therefore not restricted to text-based resumes. The principles are good for your video resume too. Text or Video - the same principles apply.

How you perform at the interview or group selection is of course crucial, but only the people with the best resumes and letters get to that stage.

Resume writing is a form of marketing or advertising. The product is you.

This is especially so now when you can publish your resume - and/or video resume onto websites.

Opportunities like the ones offered on this website will increasingly enable you to create an impressive 'new-media resume' and then to proactively market yourself to employers where you can be seen, and also referenced by you in letters and hard-copy documents.

Your resume must sell you to a prospective employer, and compete against other applicants who are also trying to sell themselves. So the challenge in resume writing is to be more appealing and attractive than the rest.

This means that your resumes must be presented professionally, clearly, and in a way that indicates you are an ideal candidate for the job, i.e., you possess the right skills, experience, behaviour, attitude, morality that the employer is seeking. The way you present your resume effectively demonstrates your ability to communicate, and particularly to explain a professional business proposition.

Put yourself in the shoes of the employer: write down a description of the person they are looking for. You can now use this as a blue-print for your resume. The better the match the more likely you are to be called for an interview.

If you find it difficult to match your own resume description to the requirements of the role, then perhaps the role isn't for you. There's little or no point distorting or falsifying yourself in order to get a job. If you falsify yourself in your resume you'll be unlikely to provide the necessary proof of your claims at interview, and even if you manage to do this and to get the job, then you'll not be able to do the job enjoyably without stress.

Obviously lying in a resume is a risky strategy, especially about qualifications, and you should avoid any such temptation. Better to be proud and confident of who you are. Integrity and reputation are more important than qualifications. A resume with a lie is an embarrassment, or even a dismissal, waiting to happen, sometimes years later when you've a lot more to lose.

Blow your own trumpet, emphasise your characteristics, your capabilities and achievements - this is all fine - but know where to draw the line. Positive emphasis and strong presentation is good; falsehoods are not.

On the point about 'blowing your own trumpet' (presenting yourself within the resume in a very positive light) - many people find this difficult, especially those with strong 'sensing' personalities, who see life in terms of bare facts (make time to see the personality section, and read Jung, Myers Briggs, etc - it will help you understand a lot about yourself). If you are one of these people (in fact many people are) try to get help from someone creative and enthusiastic to assist you in interpreting and writing very positive phrases and descriptions about you for your resume. In your resume it's important to emphasise your attributes in strong, relevant and expressive terms; modesty doesn't work particularly well on any resume.

Additionally, there is a widely held school of thought that writing such statements - powerful descriptions about yourself, your personality and your strengths and capabilities - actually helps you to become even more like the person you describe. It's related to NLP, self-talk, self-belief, and positive visualisation: we tend to live up to our claims when we write them down and commit to them. Creating a positive resume for ourselves helps us to grow and to become how we want to be.

resume surveys and key points

These statistics relating to resumes and interviews were published in the UK Guardian newspaper in July 2006. The survey quoted the sources: Cubiks HR, IRS, and IAG. The survey findings serve both to remind job applicants and interviewers of warnings, opportunities and critical aspects of resumes and related preparation and approach for job interviews. The statistics also provide a basis for formulating some very useful pointers for resumes and job interviews:

Apparently 86% of interviewers think resumes and application forms (we assume all resumes and application forms) are not wholly truthful, whereas separately it seems that 35% of resumes are actually factually correct, although (for some reason, not actually explained) this apparently reduces to 23% for resumes belonging to women aged 31-35. The precise source of these statistics is not made clear, but the interesting point that comes from all this is that people who are truthful, and can convince the interviewer as such, will place themselves in an advantageous minority group, since the majority of interviews involve resumes which contain lies, and/or are perceived by interviewers to do so. So if you want to have an edge over most other resumes and applicants, tell the truth. (For what it's worth this confirms what I've observed over the years - an honest solid applicant will always be preferred to a dishonest 'star' - integrity is considered to be a significantly vital factor among all good quality employers.)

It seems that only 8% of interviewers believe that academic qualifications reliably indicate future performance in the job. This confirms that for all but the most academically-dependent roles (NASA scientists, brain surgeons, heads of university faculty, etc), it's important to emphasise strengths such as relevant achievements, capability and attitude, and appreciation of what is required to make a difference in the role, rather putting a lot of emphasis on academic qualifications.

Combined with the first point, these findings also confirm that lying about qualifications on a resume and/or in an interview is a completely daft thing to do, because seemingly most interviewers won't believe you (moreover, 66% of interviewers say that they check up on professional qualifications, and 56% check academic qualifications), and hardly any interviewers regard qualifications as the most significant factor anyway.

N.B. This does not mean that you should not bother with training, self-improvement, and striving for new professional or academic qualifications, which are helpful for personal growth and for increasing your range and depth of capabilities. The point is simply that there are far more important things than qualifications in resumes and interviews.

Next is a crucial factor in resumes and interviews that's easy to prepare for:

Apparently 59% of employers say they have to withdraw job offers after receiving poor references about successful applicants. The survey doesn't say what percentage of applications are affected, but we can presume that it's a significant number if 59% of employers mentioned it as being a problem. This means that lots of people are failing to prepare their references properly. It also means that some people who are initially unsuccessful stand a chance to be offered the job because the preferre

A template is the file that Word uses as a starting point when you click File-%26gt;New or CTRL/N. In particular, it has the first page (usually empty). Somehow you replaced the basic template, Normal.dot, with one that has your unwanted stuff on it.

Here's what you do (and thanks for making me rethink how to describe this to simplify it):

1. Open Word.

2. Click on the File-%26gt;Save menu item.

3. In the "File of Type" list box, scroll down to Document Templates. The directory should change and there should be a Normal.dot file in it. DO NOT save the file. Click the Cancel button instead.

4. Click on the File-%26gt;Open menu item.

5. Select Normal.dot.

6. Normal.dot should become your open document. Edit it so your text and pictures are gone. In fact, to be sure you get everything, click the Show/Hide button (?) on the toolbar and make sure the ONLY thing on the page is a single ?. You can click Show/Hide again to hide it

7. Save the file with File-%26gt;Save. You may get a warning message about the Global template having been changed. This is OK. Click Yes.

8. Click the File-%26gt;New menu item. The page that comes up should be blank.

9. Click on the File-%26gt;Save menu item.

10. Navigate back to where you normally save your files. You don't actually have to save this one, so just click Cancel when you're there.

11. Close Word.

The next time you open Word, check that you'll save files where you really want them (Word tries to be too smart and remember where you were last time. This isn't always where you want to be THIS time.)

That should do it. Good luck.

How do I find free templates for designing my own business cards.?windows xp pro internet explorer

I use Microsoft Publisher, and Paint Shop Pro. I go into Publisher and highlight the blank card, copy it then paste it into PSP. There you can do all sorts of fun stuff. I've made many business cards for other people. You can even add a background picture if you like.
http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/default....
I would also advise you to use MS Publisher. But, if you don't have Publisher, here's what you can do in Word:

* Go to the File menu and select Page Setup enter Top/Bottom: 0.5 in. Left/Right: 0.75 in.

* Insert a table with 2 columns and 5 rows

* Resize it to fit an entire page. To evenly distribute cells, choose Distribute Rows Evenly from the Table menu under Autofit. Be warned, there will be another blank page below.

* Don't forget to hide the gridlines before printing.

#2: How do I delete pages at a time in Microsoft Word? A Whole page, not just the text.

If anybody can help me out, THANKS!

Microsoft Word; ASAP.?ds browser

Hi if you press the box at the top for insert picture it should drop the picture where the cursor is you can then use enter backspace or space to move it a little but not right up to the edges you can hover the mouse on the edges of the box and it should allow you to stretch and squash a little.

Microsoft Word; ASAP.?microsoft templates internet explorer

I haven't used Word for ages, but, I think you first have to insert a text box, then insert the picture into the text box.

I think you may be able to delete pages using the edit button, as I said it's been a while since I used Word so I may be wrong.
for a picture to stay where you want it to, you usually have to unwrap it, by right clicking on image, down to Format Picture, Layout, and use the text wrapping option most applicable. However, usually, if you are trying to insert it into a table cell you shouldnt have any problems, but should merely be able to align it within the cell by using the alignment icons on the formatting toolbar.

With regard to deleting a page, if you highlight all the text on the page and delete, the rest of the text will move up into that page and thus the page will be deleted automatically. The only way a page won't delete is if you've added space by inserting blank lines instead of using Ctrl enter to create a new page in the first place.

It sounds like you have a virus, or Windows XP is just being it's normal self and stuffing up.

You can try the following...

Open the program that the file is used in ( ie: .xls file opens with Excel, .doc opens with Word ) then use the File %26gt; Open buttons to open the file that way.

Or find the file you want to open, hold down the shift button while right clicking on the file, and click on open with, choose the program.

You may want to run a repair, or uninstall, restart, then reinstall the software you use, and last of all, if all else fails, do a reinstall on Windows XP.

Where did you get this 'document' you mention from? (or do you meant the 'My Documents' folder)?

If this document came from the net, it sounds like it has a virus (they HAVE been known to live in .doc files)

It SOUNDS like a virus, because if the damn thing can't be opened, then it shouldn't be changing your Normal template.

Do a thorough virus scan to start with!

Microsoft Word - Help !!?

does anyone know how to create this, as i need to use this for a template i have??? please help!!

Microsoft Word - Help !!?microsoft works

This will be a form. What you need is to bring your forms toolbar in, right button of mouse on an empty part of the menu bar area to bring up list of toolbars, and click the Forms one. Suggest you move your mouse over all the icons then to see what they are and play around, it would take too long here to explain how to create your form. What you do need to make sure you do, however, is once you have created the form (and the grey parts are fields) you need to click on the padlock on the forms toolbar otherwise people can't use it.

Can I protect an object / picture in Microsoft Word, yet allow further editing?

I am trying to create a Microsoft Word version of corporate letterhead. This involves placing a picture object (logo, letterhead, etc.) on a Word template.

The right way to do it is to use the header/footer capabilities. However, headers and footers are not visible in certain "views" of Microsoft Word (e.g. View %26gt; Normal). So this method will not suffice because certain users will question whether the stationery is on the document.

The "wrong" way to do it is to embed the letterhead picture in the document itself. The letterhead picture is then always visible. However, it is easily deleted by the user.

I am trying for a happy medium. Can I embed the letterhead picture in the document, yet protect it by some means from accidental deletion? For instance, QuarkXPress allows you to lock a single object.

I cannot use the standard Microsoft Word "document protection" capabilities, because that locks the entire document from editing -- which is not my intention.

I understand your question but there is no possibility for you to do so , as you have already mentione that you will lock the whole document.

I would go with Header/footer option.

How can I use a scanned stationary paper to write on my pc with microsoft word?microsoft net internet explorer

I think you can either scan it as a document, or scan it normally and then use it as a watermark(background) so it will print behind your typed text.
Here's how:

1.Scan in a clean page of stationery and save the image.

2.In Word, click the Format-%26gt;Background-%26gt;Printed Watermark menu item.

3.Click the Pictures radio button.

4.Click the Select Picture button.

5.Find and select your scanned stationery.

6.Click Close.

You may have to play with the watermark options to get things just right. but this should work. Notice also that you'll have to adjust the inter-line spacing to fit the ruled lines.

You could just use this document as it is, OR, you could make it a document template so you can use it whenever you want to, here's how:

1.Click on the File-%26gt;Save As menu item.

2.Give the file a name.

3.In the Save as Type list box, select Document Template. The directory should automatically change to where your other templates are and the file type should change to .dot

4.Click OK.

Now whenever you want to use a copy of your stationery,

1.Click the File-%26gt;New menu item

2.Click the General Templates item on the sidebar.

3.Select your template and create a new document from it.

It's that easy.

Yahoo has a simple and easy system and templates and you don't need to know anything- I think you need to know HTML to do Frontpage type thing. Go to Yahoo Homepage, look for Yahoo list of Services- Select GeoCites, look for Web page creation. They will show you many Samples , pick one-
its very simple. if u want to create a default page just rename the page as default.html u can create using the basic tools of the front page
FrontPage works just like Word.

They have templates which you can select. Then input the text and images.

File/Save as index.html

then publish the pages through the FronPage menu or use an ftp program to upload.

Can text boxes in Microsoft Word be locked down so no one can move them?

I am working on a project where I need to create a Word template with text boxes along the side and bottom of a page. Is there a way to lock text boxes in Word so that they can not be adjusted in size OR moved from their location? Thanks! I couldn't find much on the Microsoft site on this...

Can text boxes in Microsoft Word be locked down so no one can move them?windows xp professional

use label boxes (from tool box bar) instead. You can lock them so that no one will be able to move them around.

Can text boxes in Microsoft Word be locked down so no one can move them?windows xp home internet explorer

You can also secure the whole document with a password so it can only be read
In WORD 2003 -

Create your text boxes and lock the anchors. Right click your text box. Select Format Text Box%26gt;Layout%26gt;Advanced and click on Lock Anchor and deselect Move with Text.

Next, press Shift+F1 to pull up the Task Pane window (which will be to the Right of your Word document). Select the Protect Document pane. (Cick on down arrow at the top of the Task Pane - wll probably be on Getting Started when you first access it.)

Select any text that you want people to be to be able to change using your mouse (select the first text , then, pressing the Control (CTRL) key select the next text, etc). Once all of the text that want to allow people to change is selected, in the Protect Document Task Pane, select Editing Restrictions (#2), make sure No changes (read only) is selected, then identify any exceptions, to your rule, or check the box for Everyone.

Go to Step #3 to start enforcing protection. A Password Box will pop up. Enter your password (you are not required to enter a password, but anyone can just disable the protection with a click if you do not enter a password.)

Save the document as a template, and you should be ok. I have always found it best to save an extra copy of the original document somewhere that it is not easily accessed so it can be easily restored if someone does mess it up.

Go to the website and download a "sample solution" like the blackjack games, which will install a card game template. Then restart vb express, and it should offer the cardgame as a possible template. Then you could change the "templates dir" so VB Xpress will recongize them again (my docs\visual studio 2005\templates)

How to make a new database in Microsoft Access?

To all the computer geniuses out there, or just anyone who knows more about a computer than I do, I have a very basic question about how to make a new database in Microsoft Access. :)

When I open the program, I see this big gray area, and then to the right, there's a toolbar with "New File" at the very top, and then there's four different sections: *Open a file, *New, *New from existing file, and *New from template. Then in each section, there's different options. For example, in *New, there's Blank Data, Blank Data Access Page, etc.

Which button do you use to make a new database? And, how do you create a database using the Database Wizard?

Thanks so much everyone!

How to make a new database in Microsoft Access?windows xp sp2

I'm afraid that Dirty D is right. Developing a database in MS Access isn't like firing up MS Word and cranking out a document. You really need to begin with the basics of database design and go from there. I located a pretty comprehensive tutorial website at: http://www.functionx.com/access/.

The short answer to your question is that you click on "New" to create a new database. I've never used Database Wizard, but I presume that it helps you structure a simple database. That said, I'd still recommend that you at least check the above link to give you a better understanding of how Access works.

How to make a new database in Microsoft Access?microsoft sql server internet explorer

You go to Barnes and Noble and pick up a Access Database book.
"New file" to create a new, blank database.

"New from template" to make one from a wizard and choose from an existing template like a Contact List or others.

Just click on each of them and check them out to see what's what, it won't cause any problems. If you're concerned save them to your desktop then delete them after you're done experimenting.
you need to click on "blank database".

Using the Database wizard may initially help you, however, you may be limited when trying to implement the database for the job intended.

As an example, you may create a database for your telephone and address book, however if you didn't capture all the fields in your first go-around, you may not be able to use the database to merge into a MSWord document.

Access is a very good program, but it does take some getting used to. The library may have some manuals that will help you get started.

How do you make a resume on Microsoft Office Word 2007?

I recently got Microsoft Office 2007, and it's a lovely program, but I need to make a resume, and I can't find the template or the theme that allows a Resume auto-format. Anyone know Office '07?

How do you make a resume on Microsoft Office Word 2007?microsoft internet explorer

you type words of your accomplishments and make it in the middle of the page or as an outline stupid

How do you make a resume on Microsoft Office Word 2007?microsoft downloads internet explorer

You can download a template off the internet
go to file new and instead of going to blank go to the resume template
idk but try microsoft office publisher, or just go online and make a resume there.
i need haelp with that too email me at kazzanova167@yahoo.com when you find the answer
Go to the search bar and type in resume. Worked for me.
There are templates you can use. Microsoft has templates (free!) that you can download. Give that a try. You'll find several types such as formal, classic, casual.. give it a shot. good luck with the job hunt.
Older and Wiser has the correct answer. Just open word, find "search" top left of the page, type in "resume" and hey presto. Office 2007 is great.
Microsoft has some free templates, but since nearly everyone has Microsoft Office, if you use one of their templates, you're resume will look like everyone else's. Checkout some free resume templates online, from sites such as http://www.inknowvation.net/.

In Microsoft excel is there any way to save just one worksheet from a template with several workshee

Yes, of course you can. there are two ways to do it,

first one to start working on the template and then add new several sheets, and to insert those sheets you can use the right click of the mouse and select from the list you have insert new worksheet. or go to insert menu and select the same option.

the second way is to finish the work on the template as a separate file from the other sheets and then use copy worksheet( which mean you can merge different worksheets from different files in one file) and the way to do this copy thing is as follow:

1. One right click on the tap name then you have a list.

2. Select the option ( move or copy)

3. A window will come up.

4. Tick the copy option.

5. Then select the destination file ( the file you want to mix

all mentioned worksheets together)

I hope this will help

How do you copy tables (making biz cards) on Microsoft Word?

To the Microsoft Word experts- I need step by step advice please! I am using MS Word making business cards in the Avery 8371 label template that is embedded in the program. Once choosing the Avery 8371 and displaying the document grid it automatically built out the 10 business cards 2 columns by 5 rows. At the top left business card, I started making my custom card using text and a graphic which I use as my logo. In order to this and make it look like I wanted, I had to build tables (with invisible lines) within tables to seperate the text and the graphic. The card looked awesome! Here's my problem: I cannot copy this business card to the other 9 cards on the same document page becuase it jumbles the tables all up and I don't know what the heck I'm doing. It would take me for ever to build all of these individually and I'm sure they would not all look alike. Is there a way to auto copy all 10 of them to their appropriate biz card fields without this problem ???

How do you copy tables (making biz cards) on Microsoft Word?microsoft net framework

I tried doing a mock-up as you have explained and copied and pasted the tables within tables to the other cards. I selected the contents of the first card by pointing to the left of the tables and clicking and dragging downwards when the white arrow appears, then right clicking and choosing Copy. The tables stay together in the right order when I choose the option to 'Paste As Nested Table' but jumble up when I choose 'Paste Cells'.

Sounds like you're making a form.

A couple of suggestions. You could make a table and eliminate all the lines except for the bottom. Or you could create a form and provide a Text Form Field for them to type in.

I have got Microsoft visual C# express .Where can I write a program in it? In which template ?

The simplest programs are console applications, so usually you start there.

You can always try Microsoft's Tutorials:

Why do table borders not appear in Microsoft Word on screen?

A coworker of mine has given me a stumbler, and though I'm pretty familiar with MS Word, I must turn to you for answers.

Folks at our firm often work with Word templates located on a network drive. A feature of this template is that it contains Word tables that are "greyed out," meaning that their borders are set not to be printed out on paper.

My coworker can't see those greyed-out borders on her monitor. The tables are still there, right enough, and I can easily enable their borders so that they can print, but otherwise they just don't show up. I can see them on my computer fine.

I think the issue is not with the tables themselves, but with some weird View option - as far as I can tell, though, the background hasn't been changed.

Nothing's wrong with the Borders and Shading dialog either, even when access through Page Setup. %26amp; also he Options dialog was a dead end.

It's harmless enough, I suppose, but kind of annoying. Anyway, thanks for your attention

Why do table borders not appear in Microsoft Word on screen?ie

There is an option in MSWord..in Tables called Hide Gridlines. Try that.

How do you use Microsoft Word to to view an HTML document as it would appear on a website?

I understand it has something to do with replacing the file host url with where it is saved on your computer locally...For example replace the (background="http://www.examplefilehost....

with like (background="C:\Documents and Settings\testpic.jpg").

Can anyone explain exactly what I'm doing wrong? I'm guessing I'm close but no dice. I would like to work on my templates on a PC that has no internet connection. I usually edit my stuff at practicewriter.com

How do you use Microsoft Word to to view an HTML document as it would appear on a website?uninstall internet explorer

As I understand it, you are trying to use Word to view an HTML file. It seems what you are asking is how you can use Word as an HTML editor. Word is about the worst HTML editor you would ever want to have. It generates absolutely atrocious HTML. You can download HTML-Kit for free. It is an HTML editor with the ability to edit the raw HTML as well as helpers for all the tags.

Plus, it has a tab which gives you an instant view of what it looks like in the browser. Add to that a built in FTP client so you can upload you files to your site right from there. I use is all the time.

It isn't a WYSIWYG editor. But the ability to quickly see the result is pretty darn close.

If you want to spend some money, you can buy DreamWeaver.

How do you use Microsoft Word to to view an HTML document as it would appear on a website?microsoft.com internet explorer

don't think you can, use notepadd ++ it is MUCH easier
In word you can do "File %26gt; Save as" and then instead of selecting "word document" at the bottom, select "HTML document".

Then save it to whichever folder you want (my documents %26gt; html files) or something like that.

Then open "My computer" or "windows explorer" , find the folder, and double click on the HTML file you just saved.

It should open w/ your internet browser and pretty much like your word doc did (may not be exactly the same b/c of formatting differences b/n word and the html code)

Or if you really mean how can you view an existing website (like yahoo.com) in WORD, then try giong to the website, hit Ctrl - A ,(or select all), then copy. Then paste it into word. This works sometimes, but other times the formatting gets messed up.

Not sure if I fully understand your question though
Under "View"..WEB layout
Well, you can write the web doc in word and do a save-as HTML. Then just have any browser open it.

Or write the code in notepad (or notepad++) and then open it in any browser.

I am not sure I am answering your question, but am also not sure why you think you need to have word open the html file. You do not need to be online to view your html files.

Just open your browswer, ignore the not online message, and go to file, open.

designing microsoft template? I'd like to know if we can generate revenue when someone download your template? For example, those Cover letter templates, or resume template

Is there any income to be made?windows xp home

You can make money off of templates, but you may have to be very crafty. You can put together a whole kit of them and sell them as shareware. You can also design a web-page where users can pay to download them. Just keep in mind that there are ALOT of free document templates out there, so you will have to market actively on the web (website optimization, etc.) to get proper traffic.

How can i create a Flyer?

How can i create a Grand Opening Flyer for my new store online. The store cost more than expected, so the budget is nonexsistant, but is there a way to get a professional looking flyer online? Or a way I can get the template?

I've tried microsoft templates, and three or four programs, but theres a lack of quality

How can i create a Flyer?www.microsoft.com

Basically, it is much easlier than you think because it consist of the following:

1. choose the color of paper you want to use. White, blue, bright pink - it's up to you. Just keep in mind how many flyers you want to print and make sure your budget allows for 5,000 canary yellow printed sheets.

2. Come up with a snappy headline. This is your first and only shot at capturing the reader's attention. Sum up your product in a few, but powerful, words.

3. Add graphics, if necessary. If your nightclub is opening up, you can add a graphic of a hip building. Or you can simply keep the printing costs down and strictly use text.

4. Copy should be straight to the point. You don't have a lot of space to waste here on rambling words. Give readers enough information to get them in the door.

5. Offering a discount? Let people know. Create a coupon on your flyer encouraging them to come in.

6. Last but least, you could Head to the printer and you're done.

It is that simple; therefore, good luck!!!

How can i create a Flyer?microsoft windows xp internet explorer

use windows publisher

this is kinda off but my friend made a flyer 4 his party online and he used windows movie maker it's real EZ 2 make.... if you got windows. if you got a windows computer it is on there you got to look on your ALL PROGRAMS button

hope i helped
Have you tried Microsoft Publisher?

I guess some look kind of corny, but you can use their format, and just replace their photos with yours, and fill in your text where theirs is.

They offer suggestions as well, as in where your info should be inserted, etc.
A flyer is a one page handout.

They are easy to design, but most people can't produce good quality designs.

The templates in Microsoft are generally pretty bad. But you can search on Microsoft Online for many more templates. You can also do a search for free templates.

Generally you can use Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher. The software you use is less important than your design skills.

Get a copy of a book called the Non-Designers Design Book , Robin Williams (which is widely used by Designers, despite it's name) and is generally considered the best introduction to design you can get.

Design is more than making something look pretty, it is about communication. The size, layout etc of your flyer will communicate a message to the readers and potentional customers.
